Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 September 2026

These terms cover your use of Parrot — the console, the boards and bridge software it talks to, and the API behind them. Using Parrot means you accept them. Parrot is a product of ParrotVoice, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company based in Seattle, Washington, United States (parrotvoice.app); contact admin@parrotvoice.app.

Your account

You need an account, created by signing in with Google, Apple, GitHub, or an invitation key issued by Parrot, and you must be old enough to enter a contract where you live (at least 16 in any case). Keep your sign-in, invitation key, and API keys to yourself: anything done with your credentials counts as done by you. A key is bound to one device and can be revoked from the console at any time.

What you may not do with a phone line

Parrot places and answers real phone calls with a synthetic voice. You agree not to use it to:

  • break the law that applies to you or to the person you are calling — including the rules on recording calls, automated dialling, marketing calls, and do-not-call registers;
  • record anyone whose consent the law requires you to obtain first (see Privacy);
  • impersonate a real person or organisation, or claim to be a human when asked directly;
  • harass, threaten, defraud, or repeatedly call someone who has asked you to stop;
  • place emergency calls. Parrot must never be used to call emergency services. It is not a telephone service and gives no priority, location, or guarantee of connection.

We may suspend an account that does any of this, without notice where the risk to other people is immediate.

Credits and billing

Calls are paid for with prepaid credits: the balance is drawn down by call duration, and calls stop when it runs out. Your account also has a limit on call duration and on how many devices you may bind. Credits have no cash value outside Parrot. If something goes wrong with a charge, write to us — we would rather fix it than argue about it.

The hardware

The board is ordinary hardware you own and flash yourself. Nothing here is a warranty on it, and firmware you build or modify yourself is your own affair.

Availability and changes

Parrot is under active development. Features change, and the service can be unavailable — planned or otherwise. We may change or discontinue parts of it. Where a change would break how your calls work, we will tell account holders by email.

No warranty

Parrot is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that a call will connect, that the AI will say the right thing, that a recording or a transcript will be complete or accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Do not use Parrot where a failed or wrong call would be dangerous.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for lost profit or business, or for anything arising out of a call you placed or received through Parrot. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

You are responsible for what your assistants say and do on your line, and you cover us for claims brought by other people arising from your use of Parrot.

Ending it

You may stop at any time: unbind your devices and ask us to delete your account (see Privacy). We may close an account that breaches these terms, or that has been dormant long enough that keeping call recordings serves no one.

Changes to these terms

We will update the date above when these terms change, and tell account holders by email about changes that affect what you may do or what you pay.
